Advanced Workshops in Transpersonal Psychology
Workshop IV: Initiation
Initiation is the movement onto a higher level of being. It is often accompanied by crisis and knowing steps along the way helps.
WorkshopsThe Hero's Journey
It is the hero's task to kill the dragon, find treasure or rescue the princess. Then he must return home bringing the treasure with him (or her). This pattern of adventure is found in the oldest myths and in the most recent films and discoveries of our scientific age.  This workshop explores the myth's symbols & images that take us forward from the dependence of childhood to the psychological independence of adulthood.

Other Workshops
Night at the Museum
Offers  an  opportunity  to  be  introduced to transpersonal psychology in a light hearted and accurate way using this film  to  illustrate  its  principles  and  concepts - if  you  are  a  storyteller,  telling  you why traditional stories have the powerful, healing effect that they have and, if a counsellor, informing your understanding of dreams. The first day we will work with the film, the second on dreams. It is possible to do the first day on its own and proceeds from this day will  go  towards  the  shortfall  in  funding  for  The Stories for Health Symposium of June 2010.  To participate in the second day on dreams you need to attend the first.
The Inner Meaning of Christmas
The birth of the Divine Child is  an  archetypal  event of spiritual and psychological importance & cultures throughout the world tell of it in story & myth. Sadly we are most often too busy to attend to this inner happening, to prepare for it, to bring it into being and to nurture it once born. This day offers you an opportunity to do just this.
The Death and Rebirth of the King

What  we  are  in  the  world  and  how  we  see  ourselves  does not take us through the whole of our lives. Times of change come to us because of  external  circumstances  &  internal  demands.  The  new  growth  within us may not emerge until  we  discard  the  old.  How  to  'die'  to  who  we are now in order to bring new potential  into life is given in this ancient myth.
